Last week, Adobe released a Beta for Photoshop Express. It’s a free service for users to upload and share their photos. It’s very well programmed and it looks really easy to use. Plus, you know, it’s got to be solid for Adobe to put their name on it.

I played around with it for a few minutes, and frankly, I don’t think it’s for me. By saying that it means one or all of these things: 1) I have a Mac, therefore iPhoto. 2) I have Creative Suite 3 and Lightroom – and I know how to use their web features. 3) I have a MySpace Page. 4) I have a Facebook page. 5) if I had a PC for the last several years, I’d be using Google’s Picasa.

If you don’t have any of those 5 things, go ahead and check out Photoshop Express. I wonder if it’s too little too late, or if Adobe’s somewhat late-to-the-party timing is a calculated move to minimize use by teenagers who just want to share their senior pictures (Tom over at MySpace cornered that market years ago) and Adobe may rather be targeting adults who don’t want to pony up the scratch for a store-bought copy of Photoshop or Elements. Or, one could argue that the determined photoshopper seems to get a hacked version anyway, so maybe try to get at least an email address out of these users.

I found it via google images. This site contains some killer photography. Sexy and very intriguing. Take a look.

By request, we have added some product images to the photography gallery. Check out some insanely sharp stainless steel pictures, and a variety of promotional products that we specialize in.

Thanks go out to Jeff at The Werks Group for calling upon us to develop his new logo. Check it out in our design gallery. We’ll have his website done soon, and I’ll link to it when it’s live. Jeff’s company develops new and innovative products, as well as multimedia and video productions.

We’re working on updating the site in the coming weeks to showcase some of the new package designs we’re developing.

It’s always best to wait for a short spell before updating your software. You know, to let the bugs get discovered and repaired.

Luckily, I did that last week when I was prompted to update my Lightroom software. Here’s the link.

A local photographer and a good friend of our company has a niece with a rare form of children’s cancer. We’re helping out by printing their flyers and sending people to their fundraising events, and their donation website.

We’ve all heard the “we don’t realize how lucky we are” stuff, and it sounds good and it feels good, but doesn’t offer the kind of support families need in tough times. Families need time with their loved ones and real, concrete support from people who care. Visit the website and donate to help them cover the costs of this tough time for their family.

Oh, and think about how lucky you and your loved ones are to be healthy and happy.

Hey, if you design on a laptop like I do sometimes, this is pretty cool news.

Corsair announced “the world’s first high-performance memory module for the Mac” – and that’s pretty sweet for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a sign that high-performance Windows items are integrating to the Mac. Also, it means that I can get more out of crunching huge Photoshop files while I’m watching CSI, which is also pretty freakin’ cool news, to me.

Here’s the link to the full article, thanks to Extreme Tech’s website.

Friends, there’s a special spot in Hell for the people responsible for the Las Vegas Clinics reusing syringes to test and treat patients in recent years. The news broke a few weeks ago that 40,000 or more people are officially at risk for Hepatitis C and HIV due to some really rotten humans. Some are friends of ours, and we’re pissed and sad. Here’s some of the info from the Las Vegas Review-Journal about this awful news:

“Health professionals at the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada were found to have reused syringes on infected patients and contaminated vials of medicine that were shared among patients.

Late Friday afternoon, a Review-Journal reporter found the door locked at the Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Center, which is housed in a medical office building across the street from Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

A sign for the surgery center listed the names of three physicians: Luis Alberto Tupac, Uday Ramesh Saraiya and Enrique Jose Lacayo.”

Can you believe this? here’s more information. Personally, I hope they find who is responsible, and treat them with a different kind of needle.

Christy from Mohawk Paper for helping out with our First Friday Party. We had a pretty good turnout, and it looks like most of the new Mohawk samples were picked pretty clean. There were over 50 people in our studios throughout the evening on Friday, and we followed up with some friends at ArtBar. Yes, I had a headache on Saturday. Totally worth it, though.

Kristina and Christa for a killer glamour session Sunday at the studio. You can see some of the shots on this web gallery. Pretty hot, huh?
